A tour of one of Indiana’s remaining Psychiatric Hospitals
The last of the great medical-surgical buildings still stands proud on our campus. Today, it houses our Staff Development and Health Information Systems departments, as well as the child development program Birth-to-Five.
The Medical-Surgical Building, known as 418, is one of the first stops for new employees training to work at our facility. The building affords a wonderful chance for new employees to experience the rich history of psychiatric treatment as well as our own hospital. Inside still remains the green-tiled surgical suite, the morgue, the ECT suite, and the laboratory.
